THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS HAVE APPROVED A NEW "PRIME RATE" POLICY AS FOLLOWS:
In order to provide an adequate return to our members, the Prime Lending rate will be set at the Prime Lending Rate set by Credit Union Central of Alberta or 3.50%, whichever the greater. This policy will allow the Credit Union to provide competitive rates for both savings deposits and loans.
PLEASE NOTE: WHILE MOST LENDING INSTITUTIONS STARTED RAISING THEIR PRIME RATE ON JUNE 2, 2010, WE HAVE NOT SINCE CREDIT UNION CENTRAL IS STILL BELOW THE 3.50% GUIDELINE THAT WE HAVE ESTABLISHED.
